Today it was in the upper 70s (F) at the Wednesday edition of the Salem Saturday Market. Much better than the 100+ days we have had. But even though it was warm, from the calendar and the hint of chill in the breeze that went by, you could feel, especially in the early morning, that fall is not too far away. We are way over halfway through the season, with fewer markets remaining than we have completed. The change in the season will bring a change in the menu, while it seems the berries will last forever, they won’t. Apples are appearing in the market, heralding the arrival of Dutch Apple Crêpes. And when pears are ready, our Pear & Brie crêpe will return as we bid adieu to peaches. The seasons cycle through our cart, we mourn them a moment and then pass on to the next recipe.
