2014 marks the first year we have offered strawberries out of season. Oregon’s season that is. During the strawberry season we buy all of our berries from Nanneman’s on Silverton Road. Now that we have our cafe and are open year … Continue reading →
Whe we started, we tended to purchased most of our proteins in a ready to eat form. Sliced deli ham, sliced turkey, pre-cooked bacon, things like that. Even Crêpe mixes. (We also sliced our own cheese though). This was due … Continue reading →

Every now and then someone walks up to our booth or the cafe with their own agenda. This happened recently regarding our Gluten Free and Vegan crêpe offering. We do not use a separate grill, we explain that, and most folks have no issues. Not this person. Even with an explanation they were determined to find fault, and started asking more questions to find some additional ‘failings’ in our operations. They did not order anything of course. After a few more remarks, they walked away, no doubt convinced of their morally superior position, leaving puzzled staff to deal with our other customers and still be polite to one and all.

Yesterday at our new Cafe in the Reed Opera House we sold our 25,000 crêpe. From our first crêpe sales at the Silverton Grange and the 2011 Cheesefest at event at Rogue Creamery (picture below) to opening Salem’s smallest Cafe in 2014, we’ve had a great time and thank our fans. We are honored by all the wonderful people that enjoy our food. Thank you Salem, Thank you Oregon. We look forward to thrilling your taste buds for thousands more.
Thank you for all of your support.

Now we are opening a small cafe downtown, and the market season is about to start. While we are no longer making crêpes on Broadway, we remain very appreciative of the support given to a couple of strangers.
I was a stranger, and you took me in…
