We are getting requests for Po Boys, baguettes and cubano bread from local operators. So we’re working up some samples and are going into production in the near future. Since we are not in Paris, New Orleans or Tampa, we make no claim to be the ‘real deal.’ But unless you $pring for overnight delivery we may have a bread that will meet your needs. Always fresh baked to order. Call or use our contact page fore more info.
After a few experiments, our newest bun for our wholesale and restaurant customers is now available – The Brioche Bun. This buttery bun is great for all manner of sandwiches, including a french toast burger! Please contact us for more information or samples.
As we get ready for the start of the Salem Saturday Market and the imminent opening of the Oregon Crêpe Cafe, we have reluctantly decided to discontinue our Meat Pies (AKA Pasties). Thanks to all of the pasty fans we’ve made over the past year.
You may not know that Thomas Jefferson got the Colonies started on Vanilla when he went to France and enjoyed the flavor in food he ate. He brought some back and American life became much more flavorful!
The vanilla plant is fascinating. There are a couple of main varieties, the rest of the differences have to do with their growing location. We are buying at least a pound of organic Madagascar Grade B beans, full of flavor. The pods are not as pretty, but the ‘caviar’ (the seeds inside the pod) are perfect. Use our Contact form. If we get enough orders to buy 5#, they will be $50/pound, you can by as little as 1/4 pound, that is about 25 beans. If we don’t have enough orders they will be about $55/pound.
