Six months ago today, March 8th, we sold our first crêpe at the Tuesday night Farmers Market at the Grange in Silverton, Oregon. Yes, we still have one of the dollars on the fridge!
That night we had 4 Sweet crêpes and 3 Savory crêpes on the menu.
This month we have had 10 Savory and 8 Sweet. We’ve tried out some things that have become part of our regular menu, like fresh Lemon Curd. And some, like Marionberry Cheesecake with Grand Marnier turned out to be not as popular as we hoped. Probably the biggest menu change was adding Gluten Free crêpes. They have been very popular, and are here to stay.
It is still fun cooking fresh local food for people. We enjoy seeing our regulars stop by for their favorites. We are now starting to think about menus, venues and equipment for the winter and for next year.
